DAY 1 • SIENA
After you
arrive in Siena, by private transfer from Florence, and get checked into
your hotel you will be on your way to discovering this unique medieval town. The beauty and
charm of Siena have fascinated visitors throughout history. Siena’s secrets
and her intriguing history will be revealed to you on a guided walking tour
before you are free to explore on your own and enjoy lunch. The afternoon
will reveal another important aspect of the Tuscan experience. Wine tasting is
a “do not miss”, and at the enoteca in the old Medici fortress you will
enjoy some of the best wine Tuscany has to offer.
Your dinner will be a fantastic experience in one of Siena’s most famous
restaurants.

DAY 2 •
MONTALCINO – St. ANTIMO
ABBEY
You will spend
your morning learning to prepare Tuscan cuisine at a private cooking course
in the heart of Siena. From appetizers to dessert you’ll get hands on
experience and enjoy the food you learned to cook for lunch. Hand picked
wines to accompany your feast add a special touch to this unique cooking
experience. After this incredible morning you’ll head to Southern Tuscany,
home of rolling hills, cypress trees and world renowned wines. The king of
them all is “Brunello di Montalcino”. The hilltop town of Montalcino and her
treasures await you. You will enjoy a guided tasting of this one of a kind
wine made with 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes, taste wonderful olive oil and
eat in a typical Tuscan dinner in a characteristic restaurant full of charm
and atmosphere.
During the day
you will also have the chance to visit the beautiful abbey of St. Antimo.
Nestled among the olive groves this abbey is said to have been founded by
Charlemagne upon his return from the crusades. The monks who live here grace
the air with Gregorian chants that lend a mystical element to this beautiful
church.

DAY 3 •
SAN GIMIGNANO – BADIA PASSIGNANO – RADDA IN CHIANTI
Seventeen
medieval towers enclosed in a fairytale town with breath taking views of
vineyards and olive groves can only mean one thing…..you are off to San
Gimignano. Once a grand center of commerce and resting point for pilgrims
passing through on their way to Rome. San Gimignano fell into decline only
to be recently rediscovered for it’s charm and beauty. Here you will have
time to soak up the atmosphere, and wander through the small shops. From San
Gimignano you will head to Badia a Passignano a small village with an
eclectic range of architecture from several periods in history. You will be
treated to lunch in the only restaurant that the village offers and will be
served a wide range of local specialties. This of course will be accompanied
by fine Tuscan wines specifically selected for your lunch. Your afternoon
will be dedicated to visiting the characteristic villages that dot the hills
of Chianti, including Volpaia and Radda in Chianti. These villages will take
you back in time and you will feel the ancient history of feuding city
states, noble families, and of course the famous Chianti wines.
